What is Kshar Sutra treatment for piles?

Kshara Sutra therapy is a minimal invasive Ayurvedic Parasurgical procedure and time-tested Ayurvedic technique in the management of Anorectal disorders. It is a safe, sure and cost effective method of treatment for fistula-in-ano, haemorrhoids and other sinus diseases.

Piles are collections of tissue and vein that become inflamed and swollen. The size of piles can vary, and they are found inside or outside the anus. Piles occur due to chronic constipation, chronic diarrhea, lifting heavy weights, pregnancy, or straining when passing a stool.

How do you treat piles?

Drink lots of fluid and eat plenty of fibre to keep your poo soft

Wipe your bottom with damp toilet paper

Take paracetamol if piles hurt

Take a warm bath to ease itching and pain

Use an ice pack wrapped in a towel to ease discomfort

Gently push a pile back inside

Keep your bottom clean and dry

Exercise regularly

Cut down on alcohol and caffeine (like tea, coffee and cola) to avoid constipation

What do piles look like?

Prolapsed hemorrhoids look like swollen red lumps or bumps outside your anus. You may be able to see them if you use a mirror to examine this area. Prolapsed hemorrhoids may have no other symptom than the protrusion, or they may cause pain or discomfort, itchiness, or burning.

How long do piles last for?

There is no set duration for hemorrhoids. Small hemorrhoids may clear up without any treatment within a few days. Large, external hemorrhoids may take longer to heal and can cause significant pain and discomfort. If hemorrhoids have not resolved within a few days, it is best to see a doctor for treatment.

What happens if piles is not treated?

You may notice blood on the toilet paper, in the toilet, or mixed with your stool after a bowel movement. Hemorrhoids are the most common cause of rectal bleeding, but cancer, including colorectal cancer and anal cancer, can also cause rectal bleeding. The color of the blood can indicate where the blood is coming from.

Can piles kill?

Despite the Pain and Discomfort, Hemorrhoids Can't Kill You. Hemorrhoids, also known as piles, are inflamed blood vessels in the area around your anus.
