We, the Bashirhat Community and welfare society are a Nongovernmental Organization, have started our journey from 5th September 2011, with a team of few members from a corner of Bashirhat Town inspired by the thoughts, teachings, vision and mission of the legend monk-social reformer-master Swami Vivekananda. Our first destination was the poor people of Sandeshkhali Block-1, Sandeshkhali Block-2 and Haroa block where we have organized Health & Education Awareness programs. We also tried to fulfill the basic requirement of their food, shelter and clothing.
Our aim is to create all round social awareness among the people to make them understand that we are all do carry equal rights as any other person; there is no limit or boundary which can separate of minimize the rights and liberty of one man or woman from the other in a society because in India we all belong to one of the world’s most ancient civilization in the history of human creation.
We are already working on projects named ‘Livelihood’, ‘Women Empowerment’ and so on so forth. In 2011 we made more than 200 students employed at Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata with the help of ‘Anudip Foundation’ (Social Welfare Society) and by their MAST-a program. In a nut shell it is not possible to conclude our social responsibilities, but we can define our basic duties in one word as “Born as human – thereby Enact as Such”. |
