Diabetic Foot- Was involved with running of the Diabetic Foot Clinic, the first hospital based foot clinic in Eastern India, in Peerless Hospital. Was involved in a pilot project on the effect of locally applied glyceryl trinitrate on toe blood pressure in critically ischaemic diabetic foot, when working with Prof Phillip Wiles in North Manchester General Hospital, UK.
Diabetes and Myocardial Infarction -Done a medical audit on hyperglycaemia and the adherence to DIGAMI protocol in post myocardial infarction patients at North Manchester General Hospital, UK.
Dyslipidemia and Diabetes-was involved in data collection in CARDS study while working with Prof Phillip Wiles in North Manchester General Hospital, UK.
Obesity & Childhood Diabetes- currently involved in a cross-sectional and longitudinal study among school children in Kolkata to evaluate the prevalence of childhood obesity and diabetes and other comorbidities.
Diabetes and Pulmonary Tuberculosis- Study undertaken as a part of MD (General Medicine) to assess the
clinical correlation between pulmonary tuberculosis and diabetes with special reference to the clinical response to treatment, including the sputum conversion time. Published in JAPI, 1993.
Disorders of pituitary including prolactinoma- Paper on diagnostic difficulties presented at the annual meeting of The Endocrine Society, Denver, USA, June 20- 23, 2001.
Growth disorders including adult growth hormone deficiency.
Reproductive Endocrinology and postmenopausal hormonal dysfunction.
Lead investigator in IMPROVE, IMPACT &A1CHIEVE Trials organized by m/s Novo Nordisk & EDGE Study organized by M/sNovartis Ltd. Also a member of the National Faculty in DIABCARE ASIA study. |
