Coronary Cannulation

For diagnostic purpose, the left and right coronary arteries engaged by TIG Optitorque catheter in most of the time. Sometimes, Judkins and Amplatz  catheters may be required. 6 fr  Extra back up (EBU)  catheter is used for left coronary interventions and Judkins right catheter for right coronary interventions. In some difficult situations Judkins and Amplatz  guide catheters may be used.

For left coronary engagement counterclockwise torque is required and for right coronary engagement clockwise torque slight pull back is sufficient.
