Dermatosurgery : Electrosurgery / Radiofrequency

Overview

Dermatologist, Prof. Dr. Rathindra Nath Dutta, uses Radiofrequency surgery to treat Warts, Moles, Skin Tags, Corns, Acne Scars, Keloids, Rhinophyma, Telangiectasias and Skin Cancers.

The Ultra-Modern Radiofrequency Surgery Unit Operates at a very High Frequency. Because of this Very High Frequency, the Electrode remains Cold, Lateral Tissue Damage is minimal and cosmetic end results are Excellent.

Prof. Dr. Dutta has extensive experience in Radiofrequency Surgery and Prof. Dr. Dutta is teaching his students the use of Fully Filtered, Fully Rectified, Partially Rectified and Fulguration Modes for Cutting, Coagulating and Electrodessicating various types of Skin Lesions.

Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Procedure

This is a new Non-Surgical Process that uses an Infrared Light Source to cause immediate Collagen Contraction and its subsequent Progressive Remodelling. This procedure is used to Tone, Lift and Tighten Skin on the Face and Neck. It also treats Lax and Redundant Skin throughout the body including the Abdomen, Thighs and Arms.

Electro Surgical

Surgical Excision refers to Cutting out of a Skin Lesion (Growth). Some of the Commonest Lesions which are excised are Moles, Xanthelasma (Cholesterol Deposits).

Radiofrequency Surgery

Radiofrequency Surgery is the use of a very High Frequency Rradio Wave (1.5 – 4.5 MHz) to perform Skin, Plastic and Eyelid Surgery. The advantage over Conventional Scalpel Surgery is reduced Tissue Damage.

In Electrocautery the Electrode becomes Hot, leading to more Lateral Tissue Damage. With Radiofrequency, the Rlectrode remains Cold, resulting in very little Lateral Tissue Damage. With Electrocautery the tissue is Charred Black. With Radiofrequency the Treated Area remains Normal Colour.

The advantages of Radiofrequency are ease of Ablation, Faster Speed and Better Cosmetic results.

Moles, Warts, Skin Tags, Corns, Acne Scars and Keloids are some common problems that are treated at BR Institute of Dermatology and Allied Diseaseermatology with Radiofrequency with excellent results.

Rhinophyma, Telangiectasias, Granuloma Pyogenicum, Keratoacanthoma and Squamous and Basal Cell Skin Cancers are some less common Conditions, that are also being treated at Nova Clinic with Radiofrequency.
