Anorectal Abscess
 
An anorectal abscess is a painful swelling near anus or in buttock. The swelling contains pus. 60% anorectal abscesses are superficial and resulting from infection in small anal glands present in between internal and external anal sphincters.

Hemorrhoidal diseases (also known as hemorrhoids and piles) are swollen veins in the walls of the anus and sometimes around the lower rectum. They may be termed as internal or external depending upon the anatomical position of origin.
 
 
 
Pilonidal Sinus
 
A Pilonidal sinus is a small hole, tunnel or abscess under the skin that commonly occurs in the cleft of the buttocks. Usually pilonidal sinus contains hair, debris and dirt. With infection it may discharge pus and blood. They are often foul smelling.
