He did his graduation from Rabindra Bharati University. He has been participating in various art exhibitions since 1985. Till now, he has done several solo shows too. He has expertise in various mediums e.g. canvas, oil, water colour, still life, landscapes, portraits, pen and ink etc. He has been earning a good response for his experiments with ‘pen and ink’ on paper throughout the last decade. Instead of mixing colours on a pallet, he depicts nature, customs, traditions and practices of a village by a pen and ink, that too by ‘dots’ and in some cases ‘lines’ only. So, needless to say this technique calls for patience. He has to nourish gently the characters of his short stories. Nature has always been provisioning him with ideas. Consequently, the viewer can get the feeling of the natural beauties even if standing amidst a crowd. As one goes closer to his creation, words get reluctant to prelude the intricacy of the building blocks. By zooming it out, a soothing beauty is found offering tranquil gaze. The after-taste of any of his exhibitions awakes under the eye-lids of the viewers. That is where the artist’s success lies.

Qualification: Bachelor of Visual Arts (B.V.A.) from Rabindra Bharati University (1990)
