Arindam Gangopadhyay was born on 8th September, 1960 in Kolkata.

Besides acting, his love for music has been immense. He learnt it from his mother and appeared in many cultural programs. He writes poems and plays. He got married to Kheyali Dostidar and the talented duo has done great in the entertainment business and established a acting training school in the city.

Arindam worked as a child artist in the film “ Prostor Shakkhor” in 1967. Later , he made his debut in his youth in Ajit Ganguly’s film “ Hansaraj” in 1976. He is a professional stage artist who has directed a serial in television. Agnijuger Kahini(1969), Aparna (1972), Jugmanab kobir(1976), Mother (1979) are some of his notable movies.
