Introduction : |
| The Mini Ball can be used for high speed dry or wet grinding samples which can be used for analysis. When used for grinding synthetics the mill is used to mix and homogenise dry samples, emulsions or pastes. The maximum initial sample size of hard material sample should be less than 5 mm diameter. |

| Grinding process : |
The materials are ground by rotating two grinding bowls which contain grinding balls made of hardened chromium steel. The mill is fabricated in such a way that the rotation of the supporting disc is in the clockwise direction, when the bowls rotate in counter clockwise direction. As a result the friction takes place between the grinding balls and materials. The friction intensified by the grinding balls striking one another when that has sample materials between them.

| General Information : |
The longer a sample is ground the higher the percentage of line particles at the end of the grinding period.
The faster a sample is ground the higher the percentage of line particles at the end of the grinding period.
For dry grinding samples, when particle size goes below 20 mm in diameter the particles will tend to stick together because of surface forces. To reduce the size of the particles further it needs to grind the sample in a suspension. The system is also available in Tungsten Carbide, Stainless Steel, Agate Stone & Special Harden Steel. |

| The mill motor has a closed loop electronic controller. The motor is a permanent magnet D.C. Motor of 5 H.P.Capacity 180 V.D.C. |

| Speed Controller : |
| There is regulator by which the speed of the motor can be regulated. The drive motor speed result in grinding bowls. |

| Timer : |
| A timer is fitted with the system by which the required time can be set time the Mill will stop automatically |

| Caution : |
Do not run the mill without sample materials in the bowl. This will damage the bowls as well as the grinding balls.
Load both the bowls by equal quantity of sample material, other wise the unbalance will cause the mill vibrate and run erratically.
The grinding materials and the grinding balls contained in the bowls should not exceed 2/3 of the bowl.
Loosen the lid on the bowls cautiously because the pressure in the bowls may be high. |
