Amrita Mukopadhyay was fortunate to have been nurtured by the most talented  of all artistes. Shri Siddheswar Mukopadhyay uncle of Late Manabendra Mukopadhyay taught her classical and Nazrul Geeti while Late Shri Sukhendu Goswami groomed her in classical. Her other teachers who have contributed significantly were Late Shri Sukumar Mitra and Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty in classical and Shrimati Kum Kum Chattopadhyay, well known Rabindra Sangeet performer, and a student of Sri Subinoy Roy. She has been actively participating as a performing artiste in  Tathya Sanskriti Department(Govt of West Bengal).She has been designated as a "B" high artiste By Akashvani and Doordarshan. She was also awarded first prize in Light Music competition organized by Kolkata Doordarshan and in Rabindra Sangeet and Nazrul Geeti Competition organized by Rajya Sangeet Academy. Her performance have also been Recorded and Telecasted by “Tara Music”.
