I am Dr Ch. Sundar Rao graduated from M K C G Medical College, Berhampur (GM) in 1977 and having worked as Resident Doctor at Garden Reach Rly Hospital in General Medicine. Completed DTM & H course from School Of Tropical Medicine Calcutta in 1980. Since then I am doing my General Practice.

I worked as chief Medical Officer at New Central Jute Mill for ten years. I also registered my self as DNB (Final) Candidate at B R Singh Hospital Where I worked in Cardiology Dept for two years. My field of interest is in General Medicine specially in Cardiology & Diabetology. Presently pursuing a certificate course in Diabetology conducted by Public Health Foundation Of India.

Cardiology
Cardiology is that branch of medicine which deals with the diagnosis andtreatment of heart diseases.Cardiologists investigate patients with suspected heart disease by taking a very careful, extensive history of the patient's condition, and performing a complete physical examination.

Diabetology
Diabetes is a metabolic disorder where in human body stops producing or fails to properly utilise insulin, a hormone that is required to convert sugar, starches, and other food into energy. Diabetes mellitus is characterized by constant high levels of blood glucose (sugar). The human body has to maintain the blood glucose level at a very narrow range, which is done with the help of insulin and glucagon. The function of glucagon is to release glucose from the liver to the blood stream so that, it can be transported to body tissues and cells for the production of energy.
