“GOURI GOES GIDDY WITH HER GUITAR” was a column in champ weekly magazine of Times Of India For children where vivacious youth of kolkata related with fervor with this agony aunt and soon it was like a rockstar music album of Elvis Pristley. Every teen called, mailed, wrote daily to their companion of life for the big yet small troubling issues.
The novice programme was then expanded, Gouri with her giddy guitar and grin went to over 40 schools of kolkata often to interact, motivate and consel the teenagers. Here she encountered with manifold queries. She realised the gravity of the problem and the mayhem associated with it. She realised the need to for GUARDIAN III who was neither the parent nor the educator of the teenagers yet someone who guides, protects and enlightens them in a positive way from far. As Amartya Sen has said the ‘invisible hand’ would guide GUARDIAN III to the uplift-ment of the society and remove from it the menace of Child Abuse, Insecurity etc.
