Namaskar,
The onset of the golden brown autumn in Moscow coincides with the festive spirit of Durga Puja which engulfs the Indian community and their Russian friends. For the last 19 years, in an attempt to recreate and live the joyousness and vibrancy of the festival, the Indian community has been putting together spectacular Durga Puja celebrations. The celebrations are dotted with numerous cultural programmes and the annual puja magazine Aaratrika is released by the representative of Embassy of India on the very first day. As always, the puja is organized and funded through donations and support of Moscow's Indian community who strive to bring a flavour of puja in a home away from home.
This year Durga Puja falls from 5th October to 9th of October. The puja will be held at the Interclub in the Russian Peoples Friendship University campus (21, Mikhluka Maklaya Street, Moscow).
We would request you all to come and take the blessings of Ma Durga and enjoy the celebrations. Elders can immerse themselves in the nostalgia of puja celebrations back home and children can get a whiff of what puja is all about.
Looking forward to meet you.
With warm regards,
Durga Puja Committee |
