Dr. Nalini Shukla , one of the 500 greatest writer of the 20
th century , born on 8 th June,1940 in the village Kandeshi,
Distt - Etawah (U.P.), India.
A proficient academician by nature, she did M.A. in 1960 , Ph.D.
in January, 1967.Gold Medalist in Sanskrit , from Agra University,
Agra.
Her inseparable bond and love for academics & knowledge
escalated to further heights when she pursued further reseach
in " Yogic Vibhution ka Swaroop Nirupam Evam Bhaagawat
Puran Main unka Nidarshan - Ek Adhyayan ( In Scientific, Psycological
and Philo-sophical context)."
Last Position held by her was as Reader in Deptt. of Sanskrit,
Acharya Narendra Deo Nagar Nigam , Post Graduate. College,
Kanpur.
Her colourful and dedicated service to the nation in the field
of education span over nearly 31 years in A.N.D. Nagar Nigam
Mahila Mahavidyalaya (08.09.1969 - 30.06.2000).
An epitome of diligence and ruspousibility, Dr. Nalini Shukla
held the post of Chief Editor "BHARTI MANDARAH', An international
six monthly Sanskrit Research Journal (containing research articles
of high standard from renowned Sanskrit Scholars in 3 languages-
Sanskrit, Hindi and English).
Her ethereal nature touched , inspired and enlighted innumerable
lives and continues to cast its spell in the generations to
come.
SOCIAL & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES :
Fifteen times took leading role in cultural functions as organizer,
Director (of self written as well as of others) Dances, Dramas..
Playback Singer and Commentrator at college, University, National
and International level.
Very well known Sanskrit poetess on National and International
level. Took part in numerous Sanskrit kavi sammelans on National
and International level in India and abroad which were broadcasted
on Radios.
Television and All India Radio Artist of Sanskrit Section at
National and State Kendras of Delhi, Lucknow, Bombay, Poona
etc.
Took very active part for propagating Sanskrit and bringing
it to common people by arranging seminars and educational programmes
as president, vice president and secretary of different organisations.
OTHER ACTIVITIES AND CONTRIBUTIONS FOR
BRINGING QUALITATIVE IMPROVEMENT IN EDUCATION AND ALSO FOR PROPAGATING
AND DEVELOPMENT OF SANSKRIT :
1. 1978-1981 worked for improvement of Degree level education
under Cohsip programme of U.G.C. through learning teaching and
valuation process.
2. As organiser of programmes under Cohsip Scheme. Renowned
Sanskrit Scholars from all over country were invited to deliver
lectures.
3. Took active part in Mahila Adhyayan and Sanskrit workshop
organised by N.C.E.R.T. New Delhi, 1988.
4. Organised Sanskrit kavi Sammelan in 1980 on national
level in A.N.D. College, Kanpur.
5. In national Sanskrit year 1999-2000, Sanskrit Kavi Sammelon
was organised in Jan, 2000.in coordination with All India Radio,
Lucknow.
6. Sanskrit Sambhashan Shivir programme was organised by me
in February and March, 2000 as convener and vice president of
Sanskrit Bharti, Kanpur section.
7. Sanskrit Geeti, Drama, Dance Drama, Quiz, Group Discussion,
Competitions and cultural programmes were organised by me in
Jan-Feb, March, 2000.
8. Participation in 10 days Sanskrit Shiskhan Prashikshana Sivir
in June, 2000 as Vice President of U.P. Level Body of Sanskrit
Bharati in Kanpur.
Even after retirement on 30.6.2000
(i) Research Guidance is being given for Ph.D. Degree.
(ii) All India oriental conference was attended in puri in Dec.
2002.
(iii) Taking active participation in other National seminars
and conferences.
(iv) Active participation in all programmes and activities of
Sanskrit Bharti.
(v) Writing work is going on, on research works and creative
books.
(vi) Published and Edited International six monthly Sanskrit
research journal 'Bharti Mandarah'.
