Light to lime light, a little bird to flowering fragnant glory is themetic saga of success of Raktima of ZEE TV's Hero Honda SAREGAMAPA challenge 2005-06 fame who rode through chain of aspirations from her early childhood to colourful youth of achievements and activities, a child artist of A.I.R. Calcutta to Yuvarani Singing Artist of the same platform, followed by spectacular shotting up in All India Radio's All India Music talent's competetion topping and being awarded trophies in Bhajan, Ghazal and Shyama Sangeet (Bengali Devotional) among female competitors in 1997 which automatically made her graded Artist, now she is B High grade Artist of A.I.R. Kolkata.

Before that she had already dazzled in Zee TV 's Bengali first episode of Zee Jalsa under the able guidance and achorage of Suman Chattopadhaya of "Jeevan Mukhi Gaan" fame, by topping among girls in 1995 a school student at that time. After wards her second spot in Bhajan in Kolkata famed Dover Lane Music Competition and Raja Sangeet Academy Competitors in between 1999 to 2001 and becoming a Semi Finalist in Zee TV's Alpha Bangla Music Competition drawing praceful gaze of Music Director's, Composers, Critics and Spectators added feathers to her cap.

Her All India exposure during Mumbai based year long Zee TV. Hero Honda SAREGAMAPA challenge 2005 competition, resulting in being spotted as one of the ten finalists brought her close to great musical personalities such as Pandit Jasraj, Shiv Kumer Sharma, Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Bikram Ghosh, Sankar Ghosh, Chitra, Kavita Krisnamurthi, Anandjee, Khaiyyam, Kumar Shanu, Daler Mehendi as well as her mentors . Adesh Srivastava, Himesh Reshmiya, Ismail Darbar, Jatin Lalit, Hariharan, Leslie Louis etc. She has not only done playback in Hindi , Bhojpuri, Telegu and Bengali films, got the blessings of Bappi Lahiri, Shaan, Avijeet Bhattacharya, Monohar Das but also gave several stage performances with them in India and abroad.

She is also close to Bengali Music Composers and Directors like Ashoke Bhadra, Chiradeep Das Gupta, Mrinal Bandopadhyay (Drona) etc. Her singing for Hindi version of Tagore's Songs Captioned Geetanjali on National Door Darshan network is another moments of glory.

Raktima Mukherjee born at Raniganj (WB) and brought up at different places of India is a pet child of her mother Rupali and late maternal grandfather Dr. Chittaranjan Banerjee. Her father Ranen did the spade work of contacts and communications for her.

Raktima, an artist of crystal clear voice as observed by Jatin-Lalit can sing atleast any number whether be a melody or a pop, but she shines and glitters in melodies soul lifting notes.
