TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF 10 TO 32 METRES CAPACITY HYDRAULIC PLATFORMS
Structure – The booms are fabricated of light yet stiff box section construction. The structure is fitted with wide pivot bushes and reinforced anchorage points for hydraulic cylinders. The whole assembly is mounted on a strong tubular column structure.
Slewing – slewing is 360 degree continuous in either direction thru hydraulic motor and reduction gear drive. The pedestal forming the slewing structure is provided with large bearings for smooth slewing operation. Slewing speeds are precisely controlled by using fine restrictors in the circuit.
Operator’s Cage – A reinforced fibreglass cage is mounted onto a steel cradle. Non-slip flooring with drain holes for water drainage.
Controls – Controls are provided at base as inside the cage for all operations. However stabilizer controls are provided only at base for safety reasons.
Hydraulic Rams - Double acting hydraulic cylinder’s having precision honed tubes and deep hard chrome plated piston rods are used for providing smooth operation long seal life and resistenance against corrosion.
Safety Devices - Access Platforms are equipped with necessary safety features to prevent overload and to ensure full safety of the operator and the equipment, some of which are-
- Stabilizer to boom interlocks & vice versa, i.e., booms cannot be operated unless stabilizers are deployed
- Emergency hand operated hydraulic pump.
- Warning lamps on strainer to ensure supply of clean oil to the pump.
- Suction strainer to ensure supply of clean oil to the pump.
- Spot light in the workmen cage.
- Restrictor valves in the circuit to provide smooth precise movements.
- Safety belt anchorage point in workmen cage.
- Overload protection valve.
- Emergency stop valve at base and basket to isolate hydraulic functions in case of emergency.
- Flasher on driver’s cabin.
