He has been chosen as one of the 27 experts in the world, by the WHO (World Health Organization)International to provide his expert input in an international consensus meeting at Vancouver, Canada in June, 2013 where for the first time in the world, core standards are being set on ICF (International Classification of Functionality) for children. Vancouver model will now be applied in all Paediatric conditions all over the world and by WHO following this pioneering work. World's pioneering model is in Cerebral Palsy. He is now leading the multicentric international research for our WHO regions on this pioneering topic.

He has skills in assessing children's mental development using Griffiths tool and Bayleys tool for children. He also has expertise in leading multidisciplinary assessment and management of children with complex disabilities. A part of this includes specific diagnostic assessment tools for children with Autism. He is trained in diagnostic evaluation of such children with the Internationally Gold Standard Assessment Tools like Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Autism Diagnostic Interview- Revised [ADI-R] techniques.

He often led a multi-professional team of Paediatric Tube Feeding team at Newham University Hospital in London and has efficiently managed children on long term Gastrostomy or Nasogastric Tube Feeding Regimes. He has done his clinical observership on Paediatric Epilepsy at the esteemed Great Ormond Street Hospital [GOSH] for Children at London for more than 1½ years before returning to India.

Dr. Anjan Bhattacharya He is an Examiner for the MRCPCH, UK and DCH, UK Examinations internationally and a Fellow of the Royal College of the Paediatrics and Child Health [RCPCH], UK. He is also the course co-ordinator and the affiliate tutor of the DCH/IPPC course for Sydney University, Australia.

He has been awarded Pioneer Award by Indian Academy of Pediatrics, East Zone Branch and Bharat Jyoti Award by India International Friendship Society.

He is part of the task force of Indian Academy of Pediatrics' Central Office to develop the training module nationally for the Paediatricians. This is IAP President's 5-year Action Plan. Dr. Bhattacharya, with his 7 national colleagues, are completing training the senior child specialists throughout India at present on Emotional Intelligence promotion in Indian children.
