Kalyan
Gangopadhyay is a renowned literary personality of the Bengali
literary world. He is not only a poet; but also a famous writer. He was born in Kolkata in the year 1952. His parents are
Late Kiranlal Gangopadhyay and Smt. Ava Gangopadhyay. He was came of a middle class
family. He has grown up in the middle class socio–economic
culture with struggle. So he is a very much reality based man and
his literary creations are also based on the hard reality. His
first literary exposure was in
“Amrita” Magazine. He has created lots of credential
poetries, stories, and novels etc. He has done many workss
on child literature. He has translated many stories from Hindi
and other various provincial languages in Bengali.
His different
literary creations have been translated in other provincial
languages. He is a famous script writer. He is very popular
in acting on stages and in TV or Cinema. His voice is heard very often
on Radio.
He draws sketches on cover-pages of Hindi, Bengali, poetry books
and Novels and Stories.
He is actively attached with activities and movements in different
levels of our society. He is always involved into creative search
in society. His love and hatred are always bound by human.
He likes to stay alone, but loves to get companies from like
minded people.
