Author
of a book of verses “Lunthita Samay” and a book
of essays “Bangali Hindu Madhyabitter Swarup” Prof.
Dulal Krishna Biswas was born in a small village named Betenga
near Narail in Bangladesh in October,1941.
He had to leave his family when a mere child and came to India. He completed his school education at Badkulla in the District of Nadia and passed M.SC in physics from Calcutta University in 1966.
He
joined Gurudas College under C.U in 1967 and retired from the
same callege in 2004. He also acted as a part-time lecturer
in Russian in the University of Kalyani.
He
began writing poetry from early boyhood but started writing
essays and stories from the end of seventies. He is a
regular contributer buter in many little magazines such as Nishan,Palikrit
,Nakshatra etc and edited a quarterly magazine named Pathik
from 1997.
His
interest is principally on social,cultural,political,philosophical
and historical matters. A regular reader of Socio-Cultural-history
of peoples Prof Biswas is fond of Rabindra sangeet and folk
music.
He abhors compassion to poor and has the conviction that religion and private property are the worst enemies of the human civilization as because the former weakens the human essence and the later is a hindrance to liberty.
