Basudeb
Deb is one of our leading Modern Bengali Poet. He was born on
20th December 1936 at Hijaltala Village of Barisal, Bangladesh.
In his early childhood, he had seen the communal riots famine
and partition of the country. These painful experiences are
often reflected on his literary creations. Professionally he
was a member of West Bengal Government Civil Service (Administration)
from 1960 and retired on 1994. Now he is an advisor of a national
level voluntary organization (N.G.O.), named “SPAR”.
He
is contributing his literary creations of poems, stories, dramas,
novels, essays etc. since over thirty five years. He is engaged
in editing a Little Magazine, “Kal Pratima”.
He is a unique poet by his own way apart from the today’s
media hype and rat race competitions, very little parts of his
huge literary creations are published in books format.
His seven numbers of novels published in different papers /
magazines “Pure Jachhe” is the latest shakti chatterjee
award, kathadhawani, sauskritik samman, ramdham, rammohan award,
tribritta award etc. for his poems & strories.He had received
“Premendra Award”. |
