Anilendu Bhattacharya is very famous
modern Bengali Poet-cum-Novelist-cum-Writer. He is one of
the Mile- Stone of our Bengali Literature. He is one of the
kind of cultural profile who have contributed our Bengali
Literature to the mountainous height by their literary creations.
Anilendu Bhattacharya was born
on 3rd june, 1943 in Maimon Singha (now Bangladesh). He had
started his early education from Burdwan Municipal Girls’
School (primary), then scholarship from Banipith School. He
had completed his graduation from Raj College and made his
Post-graduation from Burdwan University. Then he had achieved
the B.Ed Degree from Burdwan B. Ed College. He had started
his professional career as a teacher in Burdwan Banipith High
School in 1964.
His creative talent in literacy
had been firstly exposed at the time of his schooling. His
first published story was “Ekti nadi-o-Anek Bhabna”
(A river and lots of thoughts) which was published in the
Magazine of Raj College at the time of his studing there.
He had gained the 1st prize for that. That was his publicity
starting. From then, he had given his lots of literature creations
by which we all are proud of him. Some of his Poetry Books
are –“Aei Udasi haowa” (1988), “Mouna
Mukh Guli” (1997), “Abaha Bikar Ghire” (1997),
Mantra Hin Chara Chare”. One of his novels is “Ekti
Paribarik Kahini” one of his story books is “Manisha
O Onyanya Galpa”. He is the founder president &
organizer of the cultural organization named “Natun
Sanskriti” from 1962-1995. He was the editor of Quarterly
Magazine "Abhignan" (little magazine, founded in
1971).
