About
Piyali Bose:
As
the founder and choreographer – director as well of her own
dance troupe ‘KALAKRIT’ Piyali Bose has contributed a lot and
secured a position in the cultural scenario in West Bengal now
a days .
To
tell about Piyali, to her dance means life. She who inducted
to this art form in her early childhood. Started learning at
the age of 3 years old. She has shown intrinsic love and passion
for dance. Her mother’s inspiration helped her to bring out
creativity and inborn artistic style.
Piyali
was fortunate enough to be the proud disciple of eminent dance
maestros like Amala Shankar (Creative- UdayShankar style), Guru
Giridhari Nayak , Muralidhar Majhi and Poushali Mukhopadhyay
(Odissi) , Asit Chattopadhyay and Gayatri Chattopadhyay (Rabindra
Nritya) . Being ‘SANGEET BIVAKAR’ and a Post-graduate (M.A)
in Odissi from Rabindra Bharati University with 1st class and
recipient of prestigious “Nirod Baran Smrity Puraskar” . She
is a prolific performer of various form of dance. She has performed
in stage shows all over the country, in many T.V programmes
and worked successfully in numbers of dance dramas and music
videos like Tagore’s Shyama , Chandalika , Chitrangada , Shapmochan
and devotional projects such as Shree Shree Chandi , Om , Jaydev-O-Geet
Gobinda etc. with reputed music companies . Her execution has
received acclamation from all corners. Piyali has made everybody
charmed with her evident devotion , graceful appearance and
stylistic exactitude .
