BEARFOOT started their
BAND GROUP in 1987, Twenty years of togetherness, umpteen
shows around the country, prestigious accolades from India
and abroad and a loyal mass of followers later, Barefoot's
band members haven't yet kicked off their dancing shoes. Instead,
they get plenty more to put them on.
Explaining how the
hand was christened, lead guitarist and the band's front man
Birdie says, "We started with just a guitar and an old
drum kit. We didn't have a place to practise nor a sound backing.
That's why the name Barefoot came easy to us. All we wanted
to do is provide good music."
