'SISIKSHU' was established in 1983 as a school for training in Recitation of poems. There are two training classes - one for the younger batch and one for the grown-ups. The full-length recitation programmes presented by Sisikshu have enrned reputation over the years. Bijoylakshmi Barman heads the institution, with about 50 students at present. The youngest batch of Sisikshu takes part regularly in children's programmes of Akashvani Kolkata, and participates in various programmes of recitation presented by various organisations.
