Abhik Mukherjee charmed the audience with flashy brillance and artistry in his handling of the sitar. Abhik’s fingers dance, nay, fly on his instrument and fly with supple, sinuous grace. A fine, natural artiste. But one would remember the uncanny touch, the finish, fluency and finesse of Abhik’s brimming expression, his pristine jhala.

The Statesman Thursday, 8 May 2003

The evening at Oberoi Grand Ballroom started, (not with a Rabindrasangeet, but) with a sitar recital by Abhik Mukherjee an immensely talented upcoming artiste who received training from Kashinath Mukherjee and Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. He played before an appreciative audience, comprising the who's who at the city's art and entertainment world (Raga Yaman).

The Hindu May5, 2006
Abhik's at length 'alap-jod-jhala' in Raga Desh did contain quite a few virile and many subtle melodic sequences. The Masitkhani and Razakhani 'gat-todas' that followed respectively, in the slow and fast tintals were embellished with scores of boldly released variations. There were a good number of neat and subtle melodic glides.
