A singer by avocation and a Mathametics teacher by vocation at Welland Gouldsmith School. Culture of music started purely out of  deep love towards bengali music. Instituntional training is from “Dakhshini” where the journey towards the  world of music began together with Smt.Shibani Ganguly. Later treaded different paths of Rabindra Sangeet and variety of Bengali Songs  under able guidance of  many renowned Gurus. Though she is basically a singer of Tagore songs, she also sings songs of D.L.Roy, Atulprasad Sen, Rajanikanta Sen, Nazrul Islam and Puratani Bangla Gaan.

Undergone extensive  institutional training of “Rabindra Sangeet” at “Dakhshinee” from where she passed with flying colours, with praiseworthy works in Rabindra Sangeet.
