Rotary Club of Calcutta Metro City organized a Vocational Excellence Award for Communicators...people in the professions of journalism and public relations were considered for this award. Despite very inclement weather, Rotary Sadan was completely filled with Rotarians and guests and it was our pleasure to be partnered by Ajoy Ghoshal Memorial, Big FM, Blender's, Steel & Metallurgy, Connections PR, Graphite. Our Lifetime Achievement Awardee was Mr Goutam Bhattacharya of Anandabazar Patrika,. Other recipients were Mr Anindya Jana, Mr Subir Ghosh, Ms Aditi Roy, RJ Koushik, Mr Ritwick Mukherjee. Our anchors were Ms Meghna Dass (GSE Team member to USA from RID 3291 in 2013) and Ms Sunrita Sen. The ultimate awards for a Lifetime of Achievement in Journalism beyond Borders went to past Sheriff and PP Rtn Utpal Chatterjee. We are really grateful to DG Rajani Mukerjee and 1st Lady Ballari Mukherjee for gracing the occasion and to all Past District Governors who attended the occasion and gave away the awards. Special thanks to District Chairman of Inner Wheel District 329 Mrs Chandrika Banerjee for gracing the occasion and giving away an award.
