I was simply delighted and spellbound to visit Green Mall on Poila Baisakh Day. I heard about this beautiful oasis in the outskirts of Kolkata but could not imagine that this was such a fabulous place – Green green all round, all types of plants, huge trees from all over the world! The staff here was wonderful and extremely friendly. They showed us the whole place and were quite knowledgeable about all types of plants and trees. We had a lonely lunch in the afternoon! We heard about the Green Mall once from a friend and then from website. Today I visited the place with my wife from Kolkata. From Thakurpukur Bazar onwards there are green all over on both sides.
