With the increasing need of training for a specific career or trade of the school leavers, existing workers and unemployed graduates, Barasat Anweshan offers Vocational Training Programme (VTP) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India. Through it, we provide a link between education and the working world. Existing skills of the persons are tested and certified under this scheme. Students here have an advantage over informally trained job-seekers because the certificate is directly issued by Govt. of India which certifies that they have the skills needed to successfully perform a specific, skilled occupation.
The course includes Information and Communication Technology, Garment Making, Soft Skills, Automotive Repair, Beauty Culture & Hair Dressing, Electrical, Medical And Nursing, Printing, Toy Making, Media, Food Processing & Preservation, Agriculture, Jute Diversified Products Sector, Fisheries And Allied Sector, Poultry (Broiler Farming), Animal Husbandry & Meat Processing.
The scheme is really helpful to the poor and marginalized people, as there is no course fee; only the assessment fee is charged @ Rs.500 - Rs.800/- depending on the subject chosen. Moreover, the assessment fee is reimbursed to all the successful candidates. |
