Barasat Anweshan realized at its early life that education is the basic strength of a noble society. Therefore, it has launched its educational package, which includes Bengali and English medium schools, colleges and institutions in rural, urban and peri-urban areas, where necessary.

Ramkrishna Vivakananda Missionary School

Ramkrishna Vivekananda Missionary School is a primary school, the goal of which is to provide a universal standard education to the children particularly who are the inhabitants of rural area. From this school, a number of children from the minority community and backward classes are getting the facility. Total environment of this school has been created in such a way that it can be acceptable to the children.

Ramkrishna Sarada Mission Vidyalaya

We have a junior secondary school named Ramkrisjna Sarada Mission Vidyalaya, where we are applying international standard of teaching. We have adequate numbers of educated and able teaching staff, who are very affectionate to the children. They are now using audio visual-classes to free the students from monotony. Application of this advance technology has brought interest in all subjects. Herein, the students are not only given essential education but they are also being educated in sports, cultural activities, Yoga, handicrafts etc. Training for performing arts and visual art and regular health check-up are also available.

Lal Bahadur Sashtri Collegiate School

We have taken an important step towards educational development by the set up of another junior secondary school at Howrah, with boarding and day-boarding facilities. As we are providing quality education, children from different neighbouring villages are coming. The teachers here are trained and still participate in different training programs for gaining knowledge on modern techniques.

Indira Gandhi Memorial B. Ed. College

Adjacent to Lal Bahadur Sashtri Collegiate School, we are going to start a B.Ed. College. The demand of such college is found to be necessary as per the version of local people. Building with all infrastructures is ready. Affiliation has been received from National Council for Teacher Education (N.C.T.E.) Classes will be started from the coming academic year.

Non-Formal Education cum Computer Training Centre

The Non-Formal Education model of Anweshan bridges the gap in education when children have not been to school or have been dropped out. It also addresses the need of children who are studying in schools, but need additional support. Besides conducting classes, the teachers visit the families to keep them animated with the education of their children. During the year, the staff conducted parents meetings to discuss the progress of their wards. The team was able to mainstream the students who had dropped out of school and otherwise were not enrolled in other program. In order to promote regularity, a Computer Training Center was established here to provide computer education.
