  • Trap-Seal O-Ring:

Announcing the new patent-pending Trap-Seal from GLOBAL Tube Fittings Division. The Trap-Seal, with its consistently positive retention in the groove, essentially eliminates the possibility of full or partial pop out which occasionally occurs with standard round-shaped O-rings. During transit, storage or fitting assembly, the round-shaped O-ring sometimes pops out of the groove. The seal’s trapezoidal shape leads to improved retention within the ORFS groove and virtually eliminates costly leakage and/or time consuming pre-assembly handling.

Plus, for seal replacement in the field, either the Trap-Seal or standard O-ring can be used since the groove design has not changed. But because Trap-Seal reduces the possibility of pop out, it also reduces the need to replace or reinstall the seal. Imagine, a seal that doesn’t get pinched and fail prematurely.

Duolok Tube Fittings are designed, manufactured, and quality controlled to be totally "interchangeable" with the Swagelok® brand of tube fittings. Further, component by component examination plainly shows the two brands as completely "component-intermixable".
                    To provide a reliable, leak-proof connection in instrumentation and process tubing systems, Duolok tube fittings consist of four precision-machined components: body, front ferrule, back ferrule, and nut.
                    The double ferrule design, with the staged sequential swaging action of the ferrules during make-up, compensates for the variation in tubing materials, hardness, and thickness of the tube wall to provide leak-tight connections in an extensive range of applications.
 

Global’s economical 45° flare fittings resist mechanical pullout and can be assembled and disassembled repeatedly. Listed with UL for flammable liquid, marine, refrigeration and gas applications these flare fittings also meets functional requirements of SAE J512 and J513, ASA and MS (Military Standards). Use with copper, brass, aluminum and welded steel hydraulic tubing that can be flared.

Pneumatic Composite Air Brake push-to-connect fittings, GLOBAL’s design of the PTC Composite Air Brake fitting complies with the performance requirements of D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106, SAE J1131 and SAE J2494-3. Brass componentry includes a shoulder on the collet for increased side load capabilities, contamination resistance features and tight internal tolerances. Use with SAE J844 type A & B nylon tubing.

  

Pneumatic metric push-to-connect fittings, Metric Prestolok and Prestolok 2 are compact one piece fittings allowing fast assembly, disassembly and reassembly. Metric Prestolok is an all brass nickel plated construction featuring swivels on all male threaded shapes for easy installation. Metric Prestolok 2 bodies are constructed from a high resistant polyamide material. A pre-applied white sealant is standard on all male pipe threads.

Global Connect fittings are a line of push-to-connect fittings that offer a simple, durable and economical alternative for a wide range of pneumatic applications. The fittings feature simple grab ring construction and are available in shapes and straight configurations in a full range of inch and metric sizes. All straight fittings are nickel plated while shape fittings have composite bodies with nickel plated threads. All male pipe threads have a pre-applied sealant. Inch size fittings are identified by a green release ring while metric fittings have a yellow release ring.

Prestomatic SAE Cartridges:
Pneumatic fitting cartridges, GLOBAL’s Prestomatic SAE encapsulated cartridges are a compact, economical design that allows the user to eliminate the space and labor required to install and assemble a conventional pipe thread fitting connection. The SAE cartridge does not require special chamfers at the top of the cavity to affect a seal. Cavity dimensions are per the proposed SAE Standard

  

The Stud allows for easier installation in the field as well as eliminates the potential for backup washer damage that can lead to leaks. The longer locknut gives you more area to “wrench” while keeping the threads covered. We’ve also kept the functional dimensions the same as the current SAE adjustable connectors to maintain interchangeability – you won’t need to retrofit any parts. And like our current design, the Robust Port Stud exceeds SAE performance requirements.
This improvement is a running change starting on our SAE product line with Triple-Lok®, then continuing through to Seal-Lok™ and Ferulok®. Eventually, this enhancement will be applied to metric and BSPP adjustable connectors as well.
In the past, thread exposure below the locknut could lead to a deformed backup washer that pinched the O-ring and created an O-ring extrusion gap that had the potential to leak. The new design eliminates the exposed threads and, in essence, the damage to the backup washer and O-ring. And it’s so simple, you can be assured that the assembly is done right the first time.
