Still another star is born in the musical galaxy of Bengal – Chandrika. Presently a student of Engineering, Chandraka had started her musical journey as the age of four. Father Shri Santanu Bhattacharya as eminent singer and mother Smt.  Durba were her first inspiration.  Serious study on music started with her first Guru Shri Subir Bhattacharya and Late Kallol Roy. Right from the songs of the golden age of musical Bengal (including Hindi) she has been performing now with equal commends. Chandrika believes that all branches of songs, be it Rabindrasangeet or Folk songs deserve reverence if they are performed with perfection and she follows if religiously.

Apart from Kolkata , she has been consistently performing now at Delhi, Asansol, Maldah and many other places in India. Every where she has been profoundly accepted by her listeners with great love and regard.

In this budding age she is is already a celebrity. Her debut album with a new variety in her hue and texture is awaiting release in near future.
