Many a time, despite the honest intention, effort & readiness to relieve a dog in distress, animal lovers or conscious citizens are unable to reach a veterinary hospital / clinic. Keeping this serious problem in mind, DRF has thought of coming up with a few mobile trauma care units equipped with all the necessary facilities to provide instant relief to the animal on its way to the treatment centre. This would be made possible through the kind commitment of District Governor - District 3291 of Rotary Intenational, Rtn. R. Khandelwal. Ambulances would be provided per kind courtesy of Mr. Sundeep Bhutoria of the Prabha Khaitan Foundation.

The problems of street dogs are manifold - the more their number on the streets, multiplied are the problems. We all love to see a mother nursing its litter on the streets but the rude reality sinks in when we see only one/two or hardly any of them grow up to be an adult - fortunate enough to survive the senseless driver’s wheels or malnutrition or other diseases. Thus, to save them from such sad fate, day after day, or even for the sake of the health of the mother deteriorating due to frequent deliveries – the need for sterilization becomes a poignant and an unavoidable imperative. The foundation shall take up a structured sterilization program in its agenda.
