Rutland Island is situated in the southern most tip of Port Blair. It is a fifteen  minute ride by country boat . This Island fully covered by evergreen forests is locally known as Kalapahar . One can experience the primitive lifestyle in this island . This island is sparsely populated.          Here one can experience being in mother nature's lap enjoying the cool lashing waves of the sea after every sun bath in the golden beaches.        The fantastic colourful world of coral can be seen all around the Island.
