Hindusthan Machine Tools
Corporation, HMTC was established in 1948 by Lt. K.
M. Chatterjee. It was a small beginning. The Indian
Industry was in its inception stage-post independence
and there was ample scope. The foundation laid hard
work and perseverance paid results.
Today, HMTC has two fully equipped workshops, both in
close vicinity of the Kolkata city. Unit 1 is located
at Hindmotor in the Hooghly district and Unit 2 at LAKHANPUR
in the Howrah district of West Bengal.
