Sukumar 
                Mondal is one of famous literary Peronality of Modern 
                Bengali Literature. He is contributing his column as writer-cum-poet-cum-editor 
                etc. He was born on April, 1953 at Chetla of Kolkata. He is the 
                post Graduate in Accountancy from Calcutta University. From his 
                boyhood, he is staying at paschim putiary of south-end kolkata 
                till to day. He had spent his schooling at the local school, Brajomohon 
                Tewery High School. He has got the opportunity to study under 
                the teacher like politician Guru Das Dasgupta, Dramatist & 
                Actor Anil Dey etc. He had got the first inspiration from teacher 
                Anil Dey to write in school Magazine, Later, it has made him as 
                a regular writing creator. His first writing has been published 
                on the literary magazine, “Bhagnadut” in 1967. He 
                is editing the famous little magazine (quarterly published), named 
                “Tarunya” since over 23 years. His writing creations 
                have been publishing regularly in various literary magazines. 
                He writes a lots of humour stories, rhymes, serious stories, etc. 
                He has selected sixteen humour stories in his first published 
                book, “Hawoa Badal”.

                Tarunnya has started its journey, which is a very famous Bengali 
                Little Magazine (quarterly). It has been regular publishing under 
                the editor ship of Sukumar Mondal since over 23 years. Many talented 
                and famous literary personalities writes regularly on this magazine. 
                All types of stories, poetries, essays, travels, rhymes etc. have 
                been publishing through this magazine.
