Rupchand Kundu, an artist of great repute has been actively associated with different groups and societies to promote major causes that enrich human living. An art graduate from Govt. College of art & craft Kolkata with First Class.

Rupchand had been the chief artist of International Society of Krishna Consciousness for 3 years before moving to Redifussion. The multifaceted talent of Rupchand got its flairs through art direction, concept writing & direction of various films, documentaries & television programs. Working with prominent directors like Tapan Shina, Mrinal Sen, Chidananda Dasgupta, Raja Sen, Anjan Dutta, Ashoke Viswanathan and Urmi Chakraborti he has walked a long way to the success. His art and expressions where reflected through his exhibitions and exquisite of best known places in Kolkata and Delhi.

Ujala Anandalok Award, Bengali Film & Journalist Association Award for 2 times, best pavilion award for 300 years of Calcutta Ceremony for State Bank of India, best pavilion for Singapore Airlines at the Travel Fair, best Puja Mandap and best Idol from Telegraph, Star Ananda, Asian Paints & Times of India are just few of the numerous recognition that Rupchand has got for his contribution to art world.

A painter by training & temperament, I also love experimenting with installation art, Art direction in audio visual and creative events.

Held many solo exhibitions, participated in a number of prestigious exhibitions in India & abroad, my paintings have pride of place in renowned galleries & private collections. I have the utmost joy in expressing myself on canvas. Paintings are my most loved activity through which I express myself to everyone. I believe that a silent painting express itself in a universal language and the silent sound lies in the heart of an individual in his or her own way.
