I am Sharmila Sen, poetry is my liking from my very childhood. When I was admitted into "Arani" (Berhampur: Murshidabad) with my parents ( Subratamohan Sen & Kalpana Sen). I spent my first 18 yrs in Berhampur.

I started my journey at "Arani" with love & indulgence of Sri Mrinal Roy, my first mentor. When ii was studying in BerhampurGirls college at class XI, I have taken part in Tagore's "Raktokorobi" (as Raja) at Berhampur Girls
College Auditoriuam, in 1995, which was my first performance as an actor.

I was admitted in Maharaja Manindra Chandra College (Kolkata)in the year 1996, with Hons in Bengali. Side by side I have continued recitation & audio-drama- in a local organisation(at Sinthi) named Ankur, where I have
taken part in various audio-dramas named " Gourmollar", Rajsingha, Nupur, Birajbou, Denapaona, Kabuliwala, Postmaster, Khudhito Pasan, Nishithe etc.

A cassette named "Kabitar Darpane" was released in the year 2001.

I was awarded '"Sanskrti Srijan Sanman" from "Poschimbongo Shilpi Sangsad" in the year 2003.
Next year I have completed post graduation in Mass Communication & Public Relation.

In the year 2005 I went to Akashbani Kolkata for audition in "Radio Drama" & I was selected the very first time ---- that was my beyond expectation.

At present I am a student of Sri Jagannath Basu---- the legend of audio-drama.
