After successful launch of the first AC battery forklifts (15/18/20BT-7 and 16/18/20B-7), Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has expanded its of its AC battery forklift trucks to 3.2 tons: the 2.2-, 2.5-, 3.0- and the 3.2 ton class 4-wheel AC battery forklifts (22/25/30/32B-7).
Compared to the predecessors (HBF 20/25/30/32), these B-7 series forklifts boasts several major improvements.
Using AC motors instead of DC gives more than 10% improvement in motor efficiency and changing motor brushes are no longer required. Application of ZAPI traction & pump controller gives smooth starts without shocks and no slippage on the steep surface. Dual drive system gives outstanding performances such as superior turning radius. Moreover, application of semi-permanent wet disc brakes and AC Motors dramatically decreased maintenance costs.
