The Hyundai Training Centre will be accommodated in the BEMT building near the ring road in Geel, Belgium.

Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe (HHIE) wants to provide its 115 European distributors with better sales and technical training. To this end, it has set up a real training centre which will go into operation in December 2007.

The BEMT training centre, situated alongside Geel ring road, will accommodate the Hyundai Training Centre and provide the required space and facilities.
¡°Collaboration with BEMT was a natural step, says Managing Director J.W. Hwang. "We knew the facilities provided by the infrastructure thanks to previous collaboration and, furthermore, the location is nearby".

¡°Thanks to BEMT, we now have a modern, fully equipped classroom for theory instruction, one where cross-sections of axles and valve blocks, for example, can be displayed, and two laboratories for practical lessons using machine components. However, The major step forwards is the large hall where two excavators, one shovel, and three forklift trucks (some partly dismounted) are at the disposal of the trainers for all sorts of practical exercises, explains After Sales Manager Johan Behaeghel.

What makes this collaboration unique is that companies can also come here for machine operator training courses given at Hyundai. To this end, HHIE has joined forces with De Coninck Management & Opleidingen (training courses), which is also accommodated at BEMT.
