                ROTARY CLUB OF CALCUTTA- NEW ALIPORE AT A GLANCE 
                 
                Rotary Club of Calcutta - New Alipore 
                has been a Community Service oriented club with equal stress on 
                Club Service activities. We have not cancelled any meeting due 
                to lack of quorum or any other reason. We have so far held joint 
                meetings with the following clubs :-

Rotary club of Belur 
                  on 28.7.2007 with Dr. Dharmesh Kapoor, country's leading Liver 
                  Transplant Surgeon as Guest Speaker

Rotary Club of Cal. South 
                  Extension on 14.8.2007 with a Debate on Merger or No Merger 
               
             
             
              We have been regularly publishing our Project 
                details through the Thumbs Up insertions in The Telegraph newspaper 
                in keeping with the objective of improving the public image of 
                Rotary. We also regularly publish the Club Bulletin "BUGLE" 
                every week. 
                We have so far sponsored the following District Events :- 
             
            
             
              Details of our regular Community Service 
                Camps organized in July & August are as follows:- 
              
                 
                  | Mother & Child Health Check-up Camp | 
                 
               
              This Camp is held every Sunday in association with 
                Chirantani Club who work as our service partners & mobilize 
                patients, distribute leaflets & assist the doctors. The Doctors 
                & medicines here are sponsored by our club. 
              
              
                 
                  | Homeopathic Treatment Camp | 
                 
               
              This camp is held on the 1st & 3 Saturday of 
                every month where a doctor & his assistant who have been sponsored 
                by the club provide free treatment to the poor. Proper records 
                are maintained of ail patients treated & the no. of patients 
                also treated/camp. 
              
                 
                  | Eye Check-UP. Free Spectacle distribution. 
                    Free Medicines & Surgery | 
                 
               
              We organize a free eye camp every month at Hindol 
                & 2Dd one at Kidderpore in association with Bharat Scouts 
                & Guides & provide free spectacles to the needy if required 
                & arrange for IOL's at our club's cost where needed. Patients 
                Treated so far upto the date of this report: 270++ & Free 
                Spectacles given : 21 IOL's performed : 1 & 7 cases reffered 
                to other Rotary clubs as per request's reed.

                  to R.C.Mahanagar for Bihar Flood Victims

                  Govt. Colony N.S. Vidyalaya in association with 2 clubs

Blood Donation Camp at Kidderpore 
                  on 19.8.2007

                  the month of August & patients examined so far : 28

Rtn. Dr. Daya Saraia was honoured 
                  with a Certificate of appreciation for setting a true & 
                  personal example of Service above Self activities in July & 
                  August 2007. 
                 
               
             
            
               
                | We have also contributed to :- | 
               
             
             The 
              Rotary Foundation with our club having MPHF's, PHF's & RFSM 
              members. 
               
              We have lined up a no. of new schemes & projects in consultation 
              with the future leaders of our club to ensure continuity. 
              All in all we are committed to the principles & guidelines of 
              an effective Rotary Club. 
              We look forward to carrying the good work done by our predecessors 
              in the coming months of the current Rotary year too to lay a solid 
              foundation for our incoming teams. 
              This is true example of how Rotary Shares with the community &
