My relation with acting began in my childhood. Two of my aunts were eminent stage actresses, and one was a famous film heroine. I acted on stage in family performances since before I can remember. During the eighties I joined Ensemble, a theatre group of Calcutta and worked on stage for many years under the direction of Sohag Sen.

At the moment on stage I am playing Saumitra Chatterjee’s wife in Homapakhi, a play directed by him where Saumitra Chatterjee plays the lead.
