Quality Circle Forum of India, Kolkata
Chapter is one of the 19 chapters of Quality Circle
Forum of India in the country. It is a non profit
national body for propagation of concept and philosophy
of Quality with quality circle as an inegral part
of Total Quality Management (TQM). Kolkata Chapter
started functioning in 1984 as one of the leading
chapters of Quality Circles Forum of India, having
its head quarter at secunderabad, A.P.
The significant feature of Quality
Circle Forum of India, Kolkata Chapter is the strength
for propagating the Quality Circle philosophy not
only in the urban areas, but also in the rural areas.
The network of Quality Circle Forum of India, particularly
Kolkata Chapter encompasses an wide area of fields
and activities, and connects the inflow of information
through its rural connectivitiy to a great extent
In health care services in West Bengal,
it has spreaded effectively and our institutional
members have been conferred recognition with national
and international awards.
The Quality Circle activities reached
to the remote villages in the field of agriculture,
self-help group activities through Panchayat and also
through the Distribution Units of West Bengal State
Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

objective : The
prime objective is to spread the concept and philosophy
of quality circles as an integral part of total quality
management in the field of work of industries and other
institutions like health care, hotels, banks, educational
and research institutions through participation and
involvement of the grass root level of employees by
