Arindam was born in a traditional North Kolkata joint family on March 12 1964. Being the eldest son of the family a lot of hopes and expectations were perhaps demanded of him. Little did anyone know that he would become an actor and a producer.

Arindam completed his plus two , ISC , from St Joseph’s College , Kolkata and went on to complete his graduation in B.Com (Hons) from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. Next he completed his M.B.A. in marketing from I.I.S.W.B.M., Kolkata. He would have gone to the States to pursue his Ph.D in marketing had not his friend , Iqbal, took him to a television production company looking out for new actors.

The Director, Mr Amal Sarkar , liked him at first sight and selected him as his new hero.

There was no looking back after that, though initially, Arindam also worked with various corporates in Kolkata as a funds manager and later as a forex executive. He rose to the highest position as C.E.O. of a company in no time but by then had realized his fulfillment in life would be from total dedication as an actor.

His passion for life has taken him around doing various activities like teaching, writing, traveling, designing interiors for himself and friends, growing up his own political ideology and regularly doing social works. Arindam loves to be with his family and his daughter Sonika is his greatest friend. At the same time he is one of the most socially active film personality in town.
