Success Stories of Our Schools >>

Home is a place where a child has a cocooned life - where he/she is surrounded by near and dear ones, who shower unfathomable love and attention. From such a sheltered environment, they come to school at a very tender age.

Initially the children feel totally lost, insecure and are in awe of everything around them in school. They fail to relate to their environment and hence are unable to adjust and cope up.

Our Montessori House provides the right skills and knowledge necessary to stimulate the child's mind. Slowly and steadily the children learn to adjust and be comfortable. They learn to share, converse, appreciate and co-habit. They develop as well as improve on their toilet habits. They learn to break their silence and express themselves. They value time and get into the habit of coming to school. They are able to differentiate between the right and wrong and once they do so, they correct themselves. They shed their insecurities and inhibitions here.

This is achieved through various learning methods and constructive activities listed below :-

  1. Motor Skill:- The motor skills are sharpened through coloring, cutting, pasting, marking with crayons and pencils, zipping, buttoning, lacing, playing with dough and many other activities.

  2. Social and Emotional Development:- Self-help skills and interpersonal skills enable a child to develop confidence and independence, necessary to function independently in a group. These skills include developmentally appropriate accomplishment, like sharing, interacting with peers, understanding and following the teacher's commands, toileting and participation in class room activities among many others.

  3. Visual Skills:- Visual skills are developed through identification of everyday objects, identifying objects for shape, for colour, what is missing? what is different? and so on.

  4. Listening Skills:- Recitation of Rhymes/Narration of stories following verbal instructions/recognizing sounds of letters and everyday sounds helps a child to develop listening skills.

  5. Language Skills:- Verbal communication, develops language skills. It helps the child to communicate with his/her peers to express his/her desires.

The sole aim of our Montessori House is to make the experiences of the child, during his/her stay in the school joyful and pleasurable. When the child is ready to leave and tread into the world of formal training, he/she is matured, responsible, disciplined and cooperative. He/she has already learnt the traits of co-operate living. The child develops into a complete individual, confident and brave enough to cope with tests of time. We have been able to achieve this through unpretentious love and genuine care.
