INTRODUCTION
Flexible Stainless Steel hose and assemblies are engineered to perfection
in flexibility, strength and reliability. A full range of metallic
flexible hoses are manufactured in SSAISI 304,321,316 & 316-1
confirming to international quality standards. A corrugated flexible
metal hose is a tubing made flexible by forming convolutions so
that it may conveniently bend while remaining liquid and gas tight.
Their specially drawn thin wall tubing can hold to a micrometer
tolerance throughout the entire length. These are available in sizes
from 1/4" to 8" I.D., in single lengths of 15meters up
to 4"I.D. and 7.5meter up to 8"I.D.These are used at temperature
from -260°to +800°C. They are pressure and vaccum tight
with operating pressure in the range of 8 to 100 kg/cm2.
APPLICATION
Flexible Stainless Steel Hose and Assemblies are used in Fertilizer
Units, Chemical Plants, Oil Refineries, Paper Mills, Tyre Plants,
Power Stations, Textile Plants, Air Conditioning Lines, Refrigeration
Lines, Steam Conveying lines, Gas filling, Cryogenic Service, Steel
Plants, Aluminium Industries, Boilers, Sugar Plants, Cement Plants,
Diesel Engine Exhausts, Fuel Filling Guns etc.
BRAID
The stainless steel flexible hose is covered with an external braiding
made from stainless steel wire. The wire braiding can be either
single or double layer according to pressure rating required. Braiding
increases the hoop strength, stabilizes movement and offers a form
of protection to the inner corrugated tubing.
The braids are made from high tensile stainless steel wires of different
gauges in AISI 304 steel. Stainless steel corrugated hose assemblies
are supplied in single/double braiding but can be supplied without
braid also for low pressure and vacuum applications.
ADDITIONAL PROTECTIVE COVERING
Hose assemblies can be supplied with additional covering such as
asbestos cord or cloth strip wound on hose etc.
