Debut performance: At his age of 3 years 29 days On 24-01-1999 at Birati, Kolkata-51.

At his age of two and half years [approx.] he visited Guwahati, Assam, where he watched a Magic Show of Magician Kero Young [Pallav Das]. After the Show he with his kid’s voice informed the Magician that he had captured some of his tricks and he could played those. He exhibited two three tricks which astonished everyone present there including the Magician. Magician gladly presented him some more tricks.

After returning at his home at Birati he practiced all those tricks and started to perform in front of relatives at home and in front of class-mates in school as he was then a Student of Pre-Nursery of Sudhindranath Shishu Vidyalaya, Birati. The School Authority, watching his potential and inherent talent on Magic, encouraged him and gave him a golden opportunity to perform his talent in the Annual Sports Programme on 24-01-1999 in front of thousand of spectators. He took the opportunity and successfully performed his tricks, receiving applauds from the spectators.

From that event along with his sincere academic/educational activities he started to receive help, guidance, support from his family and well wisher to develop his talent on Magic and on other fields which he liked. Simultaneously he started his Magic Shows on invitation in different places in and around West Bengal. Since his debut performance he is still performing his Magic Shows. He has received several awards/prizes and felicitations on this fields as well as others fields. Recently on 24-01-2009 he has completed his ten years of Magical Life.

When the other kids are watching the surroundings with surprise, “DHURBOJYOTI SENGUPTA” at his three years of age, THE WONDER BOY, kept thousand of spectators mum by his splendid exhibition of magic with his fluent attracting speech at his age of three years, appeared as the junior most magician of the world in front of spectators on 24.01.1999.

He performed at different National & Inter National TV Channel like DD1, DD7, Kolkata TV, Tara News, Akash Bangla, Star Annand, SAB TV, BBC, CTVN, ATN World, Mahua Bangla etc. Till today he showed his outstanding performance in more than 200 reputed places. His Date of Birth is 26-12-1995. He is now reading in Class X in Patha Bhavan, Kolkata. He is son of Sri Dhisankar Sengupta and Gargi Sengupta. He is a member of Guiness Book Of World Records.

He has received invitation from Dhaka, USA and France for performance but due to his annual examination he did not accept it. For “Cultural Programmed at South American "Banga Sanskriti Utsab”, “STV made a documentation on him, directed by Ashis Choudhuri to be telecasted in USA.

Some rare moments in his magic life:

1. He was invited several times by Information & Cultural Department of Govt. of West Bengal for his Magic  Show in different programme at Madhusudan Mancha, Bangla Academy, Rabindra Saadan Ground etc. since 2003 at his age of 7 years.
   
   
2. He was invited almost every year for his magic show since 2001 at his age of 5 years by Banga Sanskriti Utsab Committee at different venue of Kolkata, Nadia etc.
   
   
3. He was invited almost every year for his magic show since 2001 at his age of 5 years by Vidyasaga Mela Committee different venue of Kolkata Moidan, Shahid Minar, Milon Mela, Netaji Indoor Stadium etc.
   
   
4. He was invited several years for his magic show since 2002 at his age of 6 years by Nehru Children Museum  Authority specially at their Children Day Celebration functions.
   
   
5. He performed his magic show at the call of “SAYAK” a reputed Group Theater at Shishir Mancha, Kolkata, In front of P.C.Sorkar (jr.) on the occasion of “Life Time Achievement  Award”  to P.C.Sorkar (jr.)
   
   
6. Dhrubojyoti with ‘Two Feludas’ :
   1. He placed his performance with Renowned Artist Soumitra Chatterjee [Feluda-1] at Netaji Indoor Stadium to felicitate Soumitra Chatterjee on his 70 years of birthday.
   2. He again placed his performance with Renowned Artist Sbyasachi Chakraborty [Feluda-2] in a programme for helping Thalesimia and AIDS effected Children at Sarat Sadan.

Dhrubojyoti and Guinness Book of World Records

In 2004 it was informed that as per Guinness Book of World Records Two Japanees Brothers, aged between 5 years to 6 years were recorded as the most junior magicians/illusionists of the world. But Dhrubojyoti performed his debut appearance as magician at his age of 3 years 29 days, so some of his well wishers decided to send his name to the Guinness Book of World Records  for recording his name as the Juniormost Magician of the World.

The well wishers contacted the authority of Guinness Book of World Records and as per the format and instruction of  authority of Guinness Book of World Records, details of performances of Dhrubojyoti with copies of necessary documents / Photos / CDs were sent to authority of Guinness Book of World Records in 2004 with request of claim for the Record Holder as the Junior Most Magician of the World.

They acknowledge the receipts of his claim and gave him a Claim I D number with a Membership No. and also assured that after the proper examination of their Research Wing they would inform accordingly. After lapse of considerable time on quarries they have replied that the ‘Professional Performance’ is the primary condition for record holder and the documents in relate to ‘Professional Performance’ was not submitted.

But on receipt of the documents in relate to ‘Professional Performance’ of Dhrubojyoti they informed that the Authority of Guinness Book of World Records  has taken a decision that henceforth International Award / Prize winning age will be the key component to ascertain Junior level Record Holder in  Guinness Book of World Records.

Recently in 2008 a further communication was made with the Authority of Guinness Book of World Records  submitting details of his Awards/Prizes winning performances. Till now no positive or negative information / reply is received so far. We are waiting for their early consideration / communication.
