Suraksha Hospital is a busy 200 bedded multispeciality hospital in Kolkata (1 of the 4 Metropolitan Cities of India). It has a big Paediatric unit consisting of eight bedded NICU, 10 bedded HDU & a 20 bedded Paediatric unit. Dept. is leaded by 3 Consultants who work in a 1 in 3 oncall rota. NICU acts as a Tertiary Unit providing Ventilation, Surfactant administration, TPN of Neonates, regular neonatal surgeries including surgeries of complicated congenital cardiac diseases . Retreival services of sick premature neonates is an important aspect. Paediatric Out-patient Dept. is busy with regular subspecialty clinics.

LRI is a teaching hospital under the University of Leicester . Here I worked in the Respiratory Unit with Prof. O'Callaghan & Prof . Silverman , expertise myself in the management of respiratory illnesses including Cystic Fibrosis .Being an University Hospital teaching undergraduate students regularly was a part of the training. Doing outpatient individually, coordinating and organizing postgraduate teaching programmes were the special responsibilities of the post.
