Laying
of miles and miles of optic fibre cables, is made easy with the
Elgi FOCAL (Fibre Optic Cable Layer). This portable air
compressor unit can be maneuvered easily.
First,
lay the duct on the road. Then blow the cable into the duct with
the Elgi FOCAL. The mechanical feeder within this machine pushes
the cable into the duct, through which flows a powerful jet of
air generated by the compressor. The high speed of air flow
exerts a drag on the entire surface of the cable helping it to
move easily inside the duct. The cable is thus not pulled but
pushed and carried by compressed air.
After
installation, the cable rests on the bottom of the duct, fully
relaxed. The entire process is smart, swift and smooth. |
