girl to perform at Cup festival
Howrah
girl Kashmira Samanta(31) leaves for Korea on Wednesday.
Her face may not be visible in the crowd of flashbulbs,
but she has surely done the city proud.
Samanta has been invited to perform at the 7th Incheon
International Clowwn Mime Festival by the organisers.
The festicval will be held between June 9 and June 15.
"While the rest of the days I will be performing
at several locations as per the festivals schedule, June
14, which also coincides with a World Cup matcchat Incheon,
I have been asked to perform before the match, sitting
at her Amtala Gully residence in Howrah.

dancer Kashmira
Samanta will represent India at the cultural programme
that precedes the crucial Group D match at Mun-KHak Plaza.
The only Indian dancer to have been selected, Kashmira
descrines it as a "once in a lifetime oppurtunity".
Having learnt Bharatnatyam from dancer Anita Mullick,
Kashmira has performed in Switzerland, the US, Germany
and across Europe. She has also performed at leading dance
festivals in the country, including the Puri Beach Festival
and Millennium Festival in Kerala.

Gracious
Koreans bowl over dancer
"I
made quite a few foreigntrips last year, but I cherish
the Korean trip the most. There I found people. There
I found people really interested in Indian Culture,"
she says. Kashmira was the only danseuse in the Indian
contingent. The others were mime artistes from Paikpara's
Body Language School.
